Dominic Cardoso works to bridge art, design, engineering, and science through objective storytelling with practical solutions. His project-based career has led him to wear many hats within the immersive art, film, education, animation, robotics, and themed entertainment industries.

Currently, Dominic is heading up the Assembly Department at Animax Designs based in Nashville. He runs a team of technicians and engineers who build static and dynamic characters for Disney Imagineering, Universal Studios, Weta Workshop, and Nintendo.

Previously, Dominic was a Production Designer creating content for NASA and supervised all practical effects for a BBC children’s show at Pinewood Studios. He began his career in the Rapid Prototyping and Art Department at LAIKA Animation Studios.
